    CognitiveUX AI for Google Drive

CognitiveUX AI is an AI teammate for performance marketing teams. The Google Drive integration reads the files that match filters you set, so your own AI agents and workflows can use them as context for your marketing analysis. Access is read-only.

    Last updated: September 30, 2026

    What it does

    Reads the files you choose

Files that match a workspace’s filters become context for your own AI agents and workflows — nothing else in Drive is read.

    Read-only

The app never creates, changes or deletes files.

    Scoped per workspace

Each CognitiveUX AI workspace sets its own filters, and stored copies are kept separate per account and workspace.

    Who can use it

    • Teams with a CognitiveUX AI account and a Google account with Google Drive.
    • Only an account manager can connect Google Drive, set filters or change these settings.

    How to connect

Connecting starts inside the CognitiveUX AI dashboard, because the connection belongs to a signed-in account.

    1. 1

      Sign in to CognitiveUX AI

Sign in to the CognitiveUX AI dashboard (shown as Almond) at poc.cognitiveux.ai. No account yet? Start a free trial first.

    2. 2

      Connect Google Drive

Go to Settings → Integrations, find 3. Integrate Google Drive and click Sign In. Google asks you to choose an account and approve read-only access to Drive — approve it and you are sent back to the dashboard.

    3. 3

Choose which files a workspace reads

In Workspace Settings → Preferences → Integrations → Google Drive, switch Google Drive on for the workspace and set its filters:

      • name contains, or name excludes
      • folders, optionally with their subfolders
      • file type and owner
      • modified or created in the last set number of days
      • whether to include files “shared with me”

Nothing is read until Google Drive is switched on for the workspace and saved.

    4. 4

      Preview and sync

Click Preview Results to see what your filters match, set the sync schedule, and click Sync now if you want the first copy straight away.

    Permissions requested

The integration asks Google for one scope, and it is read-only.

    • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.readonlyRead-only. Used to read the files that match the workspace’s filters. The app never creates, changes or deletes files.

    Your data

    What is read

    • Only files that match the workspace’s filters.
    • Supported types: Google Docs, Sheets and Slides, PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CSV, plain text and images. Files over 50 MB are skipped.
    • When Google Drive is first switched on, past files are copied once: the filter’s own time window if it has one, otherwise the last 90 days. After that, matching files are copied on the workspace’s schedule or when you click Sync now.

    What is stored

    • A copy of each file in its own format (Google Docs, Sheets and Slides are exported as Word, Excel and PowerPoint), plus a text copy.
    • Copies are kept in private cloud storage, separated per account and workspace. The Google token is stored server-side and never sent to the browser.
    • Copies are deleted after the workspace’s retention period, counted from when each was copied: 90 days by default, configurable from 1 to 3650 days under Data Retention. Information already added to the workspace’s memory may be kept after the original copy is deleted.
    • When one of your agents uses this content, it is sent to the AI model provider that runs the agent. It is not used to train generalized AI models.

How to disconnect and remove it

    • To stop reading for one workspace, switch Google Drive off in Workspace Settings → Preferences → Integrations → Google Drive.
    • To disconnect, click Sign Out on 3. Integrate Google Drive in Settings → Integrations. This deletes our stored token and stops further reading.
    • Google Drive, Gmail and our Google Ads connection share one Google sign-in, so Sign Out does not revoke the Google grant (that would also disconnect Google Ads). To revoke it fully, remove our app’s access at myaccount.google.com/permissions; this also disconnects Google Ads.
    • Copies already stored stay until the retention period ends or you ask us to delete them; deleting a workspace deletes its synced copies. To have them deleted sooner, email [email protected] with the subject “Data Deletion Request”.

Questions or a deletion request? Email [email protected] — no account needed. See also the other connected apps: Slack, Gmail, Google Drive.
